Serious post

I ran for the first time in 8 days again, back is feeling better but this winter##&*%@&*(^$@!^. Sorry I needed to blow off a little steam. I guess the computer thought it was a web site. try and visit it to see where it takes you, probably a porn site. Hmmmm maybe I could make some extra money for bills as a porno actor. I could call myself Forest F. Hump, what do ya think.
Back to what I was writing before I got side tracked. Got home and yes it's a training day, the winds blowing about 8 miles an hour seems beautiful huh, well not when it's 21 degrees outside. Did I mention I'm sick of this CRAP. I used to love winter when all I wanted to do was hunt, now I want to run I want to RUN FOREST RUN but this damn weather won't let up. OK sorry, done whining. I ran 5.5 miles tonight and other than my nose going numb it went fine. The back felt good, a little pain in the right knee but some more hammy stretches should straighten that out. I've got a total of 26 miles to do this week, so hopefully everything stays healthy for me. wish me luck.

miles 5.5

time 57 min 9 sec

pace 10 min 24 sec

overall impression:
Looks like I lost one of the bottoms off my plow. (llilootbomp)

dude, you are my hero for running in that kind of weather. seriously. i just wouldn't do it. keep it up- knowing you run without any excuses keeps my ass going out the door, too. if you give up because of that insanely crappy weather... what do i have left!?!

I am starting to think you might need a little West Coast weather. Having been to Minnesnowta and Iowa in the winter, I can't fathom how people live in the northern Midwest year round! Like Tequila said, I really have no excuses not to go run if you and 30 Pack can brave that kind of weather. Remind us again when your marthon is.

Having lived there, I have to chime in and agree. My winter philosophy was always, stay indoors and moisturize. Punkt!

The marathon is May 27th. It should be upper fifty's to mid sixty's. Although last year they closed it after five hours fifteen minutes because it was 95 with like 90% humidity. You know PP like your used to in the summer.
Well you know what they say in Wisconsin if you don't like the weather look out the door in ten minutes it's bound to change.
I've gotta tell you I'm looking forward to the 40's they are calling for this weekend. We'll see if we actually get that high.

you can do it dude! if the wind starts to blow, just use some of that extra skin like a sail and float along to your goal. Trust me on this one: A marathon training program NEEDS shitty ocnditions for some of the runs. It gives the whole thing meaning when you are trudging along at 22 miles. You'll never quit then because you didn't quit now. you'll know what you've been through and you'll know that you deserve to reward yourself with that medal. YOU CAN DO IT!!! FUCK THAT, YOU ARE DOING IT!!! RUN FOREST RUN!
